'O8 A Year for New Beginnings!

Does anyone know the symbolism behind the number 8? It represents something like new birth. revival. new beginnings. And i am not talking about someone finally sticking to their resolutions, which most people have already already broken by now i would guess =]. I stopped making them long ago to avoid the sadness of watching them get flushed away like waste =P. Anyway, I am really excited about another year. Actually, i am as excited as i am about each day. A new year of choices to make and i pray i make the right ones. [Yes folks, i there are right and wrong decisions. Bad decisions will lead to death, but you can find life in Jesus. "for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23. what will you decide?]

On that note, Life back in Master's has been great. I know i havent posted in a long time but i didnt have an internet connection most of the time and when i did, the people i was with were more important than my blog =].

Everyone came back from the break which is great. Master's can be excruciating at times for people. Enough that some have thought of quiting. But there is still 12 of us so that is awesome. I am really excited for what God has in store for this second semester. [which btw, we are still in the dark as to what He is going to do] . My body is slightly sore from working at the gym lately. Actually i tried to do some crunches today at the YMCA and it was really hard to do even one because they are still sore from a couple days ago. I chilled in the pool for awhile. really, i was slightly chilled, but i did just float for awhile [that was actually a small work out because i sink more than i swim. classes start tomorrow, i am actually excited about that.

i have some awesome classes lined up for this semester:
Spiritual Formation II (which the text is "My Utmost for His Highest")
Relational outreach
New Testament Survey
Christian Ethics
composition an literature ( =[ )

I did just have something very disappointing happen though. I thought i would be starting a dance class here at Bethel this semester, but i could get the gumption. I am only disappointed in myself but here is why.

I want to dance, but i have two left feet. Slow dancing is about as most as i can do and even that is a stretch. Really though, i was embarrased at the thought of being visible to others and do the crazy things i would have to do. I say crazy because i was about to walk into a contemporary dance class and that stuff is weird. But still it is dancing. I think there is ballet, broadway dance and jazz, and contemporary. I would really like to take swing but there isnt a class and im pretty sure id need a female partner so probably not until after MC. I also have little faith in my self when it comes to things like this. Even things i write i find hard to read. phobia of criticism? Dunno, butit sucks really bad. Luckily i but a lot more confidence in God. Yet still, i will abandon my fears to God and press only towards Him. Though i will at times forget and want to please or not displease all of you (meaning somebody other than the G O D). I was going to suprise a few people when i graduate by showing some moves but it might not be happening now =[. Well, luckily i didnt show mention it before. Still it really is disappointing, sometimes i hear a song and something starts burning and i feel a dance but am afraid of letting it out because i don't want to be laughed at. Yuck, that is a nasty Attitude. God, purge me of this way of thinking please.

Okay, im done. But if you can think of anything else that 8 stands for, comment. peace
